•What makes you different from other local wedding officiants? Why should someone hire you? This is a tricky question. My goal is to celebrate the GBLT community here on the Eastern Shore, where unfortunatly acceptance will not come with a change in the law. I have an uncle who has been with his partner for over 45 years and a sister who has been with hers for 15. I firmly believe that those relationships are as valid and important as any other marriage in Maryland. I love and celebrate who you are and want to share that with you..
•How many wedding do you officiate a year? That remains to be seen as Marriage Equality has just passed in Maryland.
•How far are you willing to travel? Is there a travel fee? I am limited at the moment to Worchester, Wicomico and Somerset county. Travel expenses within 20 miles of Salisbury are included in the normal fee. Outside the local area, travel expenses would be negotiable..
•What kind of pre-wedding counseling is required, if any? None.
•How long after the ceremony do you file for the official marriage license? within 48 business hours.
•Will you marry couples of different faiths or previous divorce? Yes.
•Do you normally attend the reception? Attendence is totally up to the couple, but I would love the opportunity to celebrate with you.
•Do you have a back up officiant on call, in case of an emergency? Yes.
•Will you allow us to write our own vows? Of course. I am non-demominational and willing to perform the ceremony as you request.
•Can we read or hear your ceremony before our wedding day? It is your ceremony so I do everything in my power to ensure the ceremony is an answer to your dream.
•In which states and communities are you licensed to officiate ceremonies? Nationwide.
•What are your standard payment terms? $150 deposit required to reserve your date and time. Balance is due two weeks before your service..
